Legacy Grove Gardens reimagines the cemetery as a living sanctuary — green burial, modern columbariums, private Family Legacy Pods, a celebration center, a café and ongoing grief support, on conservation land just outside Austin.
Families are rushed through high-stakes decisions in sterile rooms, then left alone once the service ends. In a city that values nature, wellness and self-expression, there is no place built for the long work of healing.
Cemeteries are designed to be visited briefly, not returned to. Support ends when the service does.
Embalming chemicals, metal caskets and concrete vaults work against the land.
High-pressure sales of ornate products push Texas funerals past $8,000.
Rigid, somber rituals no longer reflect how people want to honor a life.

“The funeral was over in an hour, but my grief wasn't. I need a place that honors the time it takes to heal.”— The Holistic Healer, one of our three core customers
Native wildflower paths instead of manicured lawn. Living trees instead of headstones. Designed with Gin Design to let modern architecture sit quietly in the Texas landscape.

Private garden rooms. Timeless memories. Together, always.
The same promise as a family mausoleum — one private place where a family can be together for generations — but holistic. Instead of marble and sealed crypts, each pod is an open garden room of weathered steel and wood slats, wrapped in flowering vines around a living tree and a circular bench. A living memorial for reflection, connection and celebrating a life well lived.

An intimate garden room for an immediate family.

Room for several generations, with a stepping-stone approach.

A full family estate garden, built to be shared for generations.

A quiet lime-plaster building with a deep timber entrance and a wood-slat columbarium, set in native meadow. Inside: a skylit welcome hall, a ceremony hall that opens to the land, Blooms & Brews, and rooms for families, workshops and gatherings.

Full-body natural burial, family plots and memorial-tree sites at transparent prices.
Green cremation services and personalized glass-front niches.
Families lock in their plan and price in advance. Payments are held in trust until services are delivered, as Texas law requires.
A bi-monthly bouquet placed at the memorial, with a matching one delivered home.
Café and floral sales, plus ceremony and event rentals, with the Legacy Center to follow.
Workshops, grief courses, counseling, and help establishing legacy funds.
“I want my grandkids to have a picnic under a tree that I helped grow.”
We are evaluating two properties in Bastrop County, in the growth corridor east of Austin. Both have sandy-loam soil and rolling, tree-rich terrain suited to a conservation cemetery.
Cemetery use remains subject to legal, regulatory, geotechnical and civil due diligence. Regional references are context only and do not imply endorsement or partnership.
A sustainability professional planning for her parents and herself, who sees traditional cemeteries as wasteful.
I want my final act to be a gift to the earth, not a chemical footprint.
A retired administrator pre-planning so her children carry no burden, ready to lock in a natural-burial price.
I don't want my grandkids to visit a tombstone.
A creative director who lost his partner and found traditional services cold, rushed and hollow.
I need a place that honors the time it takes to heal.

Magen Pastor lost her father when she was 17, and saw how cold and incomplete traditional funeral spaces can feel at the moment families most need sanctuary.
She brings 15 years in hospitality, event production, brand strategy and community building, including founding and running Southern Kindness Gallery and the Cowboy Motel. Legacy Grove applies the same craft — storytelling, design and human connection — to the way we honor life.
She is building an advisory network across sustainable land planning, Texas cemetery law and deathcare operations, with Gin Design leading architectural and experiential concepts.

One pre-opening year of building and pre-planning sales, then the park opens on 10.2 acres with a small, focused team. Prices and volumes are set from Austin-area competitors and local death rates. Perpetual care trust deposits come out before profit, and pre-planning payments are not counted as revenue.
